If you're going to certain areas like the Amazon or jungly/remote type areas you might need yellow fever vaccination and malaria tablets. Don't? take my word for it though, your doctor will know best!

Awesome tips! When I did my trip across America, one thing that I did that I would recommend to anyone who is going crosscountry is to get a pay as you go cell phone. I got a Net10 phone. I paid a very small amount for the minutes and didn't have to worry about overage or roaming? fees. The minutes were easy to buy (airtime cards) and easy to put into the phone. I also didn't have to worry about losing the phone. When I traveled, I also always kept a change of clothes in my purse just in case!
